I attended BAKER in the fourth grade, the first year the school opened. I had been going double shifts at Tillinghurst Elementary prior to this. I moved to Ft. Benning for 5th, 6th and 7th. We moved BACK to Columbus and I attending BAKER in the 8th and 9th grades. I transferred to Jordan in the 10th grade and graduated from Jordan High School in 1952. I played in the BAND at Baker. I was in the first band conducted by Mr. Frank Robertson.

I attended the U of Georgia and Auburn University. I graduated from Columbus College and received my master's degree, also. I have taught school in Columbus for 33 years and am presently a World Culture's teacher at Fort Middle School in Columbus. I am divorced and have two grown daughters who are both registered nurses in Columbus. I have one grandson, BRADLEY who was born in 1992. MY joys in life are my students at school, my grandson, and my computer and internet interests. LIFE is wonderful and I thank GOD for my good health!
