Glenn Eugene Wells, Faculty and Class of '60



ROTC (11,12), Spanish Club (11), Annual Staff (12), ROTC Drill Team (12), 1960 S.T.A.R. Student, National Merit Scholarship Finalist (didn't win)

Attended Parks College of Aeronautical Technology (1960-61), received AA from Columbus Junior College (1963), AB from University of Georgia (1965), taught at Henry County High for a year, then taught English at Baker (1966-71), while earning an M.Ed. from U.Ga. (1971). I worked at Lummus Corporation (Lummus Industries prior to 1993) from 1972 to 1998, including two years at a subsidiary, Sun Advertising Agency. When Lummus moved to Savannah, I stayed in Columbus and went to work for AFLAC as manager of the Editorial Services Dept. I married Sue Green (1966 Col. High) in 1974. We have two sons: Benjamin Skyler ("Sky"), a systems engineer for Boeing in Huntsville, Ala., and Christopher Michael ("Kit"), an art major at UAH in Huntsville. Sue passed away in Jan. 2001. I married Patricia Wilson of the Class of 1971 on August 10, 2002, and we live in Columbus.
