Lance Hartman, Class of '68



About-Baker: Class Council 1,2,3,4; Student Council 1,2; Key Club 4; Freshman Basketball (Fresman Center). I think I enjoyed the close friendships I made while at Baker, the most. Friendships that still flourish to this day.

After-Baker: I attended Young Harris College after gratuation where I "walked on" the basketball team (sophomore year I recieved a scholarship).After graduation, I attended Troy State University for about a year and revieved my draft notice. Joined the NAVY,Special Underwater Warfare Unit, spent 3 tours in Viet Nam; got off active duty; married, have 2 children (one almost ready to graduate from TSU, and one on a baseball scholarship at a local college). I retired from the Naval Reserve in 1997, after 27 years. I am Territorial Sales Manager for Lafarge Corp.for the Southeast. I graduated from TSU with a B.S. in Business.

After-Baker: B.S., Troy State University, Business Admin.; Auburn University; US Navy (6yrs. Active, 21yrs. Active Reserve); Special Underwater Warfare Unit; 3 tours in VietNam; served in Granada, Operation "RESTORE" in Haiti; Desert Storm. Retired in 1997. Married to Susan Ray (Central HS 1970); two children, Lisa and Bryan. have owned a Minor League Football team, Bi-City Stars (17-4) in two years. Formely part owner of ready mix concrete company in Albany, GA. Currently working as Southeast Sales Manager for Blue Circle Aggrefates/Special Products Division. I enjoy playing softball, hunting, and fishing. My ambition in life is to see my kids graduate from college and to become independently wealthy.
