Michael James "Big Fig" Figueroa (Hinkle), Class of '70

Hey, to all my fellow Baker BUMS. I attended Baker High School from 1966 to 1969. As I recall, they were three wild and crazy years! In 1970 I joined the U.S. Army and spent my first eight-years as an enlisted man. I returned to Fort Benning, Georga in 1978 to attend Officer Candidate's School (51st Company, Class 4-78). After graduation I spent the next twenty-years as a Tactical Intelligence Officer and Latin American Foreign Area Specialist serving in a variety of assignments around the world. I retired as an Lieutenant Colonel in 1998 and started a second career as a high school Spanish language teacher. I seriously doubt that anyone who knew me during my Baker days could have ever predicted that "Big Fig" would end up teaching high school. Life is full of surprises! I look forward to talking to any of the BUMS that might remember me and/or any new acquaintance who would like to exchange Baker High School stories, lies or experiences. I attended the first and plan on attending the Second All-Class Reunion in July 30-31, 2004. Be there or be square!
