Lions Forever 2004 - A Great Success!

Dear Lions,

On behalf of Lambda Epsilon Omega, the Baker High School Alumni Association and sponsor of "Lions Forever 2004", may I say that our All-Class Reunion was a huge success!

We lost count on the number of folks that attended the Friday night icebreaker. The Carter Room at the Howard Johson's Express was packed, and the overflow crowd spilled out into the pool area and lounge. There was great food and spirits, and although it was hot (duhhhh, it was July in Columbus, GA!), everyone seemed to have a wonderful time.

Approximately 600 grads, faculty, and guests attended Saturday evening's events at the Port Columbus National Civil War Naval Museum. 400 diners enjoyed scambled dogs from Cook's Place and barbeque from Macon Rd. Barbeque. Another 200 folks arrived at 8:45 pm to visit with friends and dance to a wide variety of tunes. Originally, we had planned to "end" the Reunion at 11:00 pm, but there were so many people there, that we extended the Reunion another hour and still had to run everyone out at midnight! No one wanted to leave!

In my opinion, the Reunion Committee did a fantastic job and received a lot of compliments! Thanks to all for your hard work!

For those who have photos that we can publish, please scan and send to me and I will publish them on the Alumni Association webpage. Photos should be a maximun of  4.5 inches (or 100 kb) in any direction. Resolution: 100-125 dpi. Preferred format is .gif or .jpeg.

Thanks so much to all of you who participated and made "Lions Forever 2004" such a great success!

Sincerely,
