I think we're all still here and just waiting for someone to start up a  good 
conversation.  Maybe everyone just ran out of things to talk about  that were 
politically correct and would not offend anyone.  As for me, I  would welcome 
a little controversy every now and then, as long as people stay on  subject 
and not use their disagreements as an excuse for personal attacks.   I think 
controversial subjects, discussed in a civil manner, are an excellent  learning 
tool and can broaden ones horizons.  I also think that anyone who  cannot 
handle controversy and disagreement in a civil manner without resorting  to 
personal attacks and without attempting to stifle and censor such  conversations 
should remain silent until he/she overcomes that deficiency.   Just the opinion 
of one old codger who has seen too many conversations turn bad  because someone 
resorted to personal attacks instead of using his/her  brain.
